COUTTS OTOLO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Otolo is the Chief Executive Officer of Crowe Horwath EA and Partner in charge
of Advisory Services. He has over 34 years of professional experience in
related aspects of financial and management consulting. Coutts holds a Bachelor
of Commerce (Honours) degree and is a member of the Institute of Certified
Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of certified Public
Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants
of Rwanda (ICPAR). He is also a Fellow of the UK Association of Chartered and Certified
Accountants. He has previously been a member of the Council of the Institute of
Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and currently serves as a member
of the global council, based in London, of the Association of Chartered and
Certified Accountants (ACCA). Coutts has been a key speaker in several global
forums on thought leadership in the accounting profession, including at
the ACCA Global Virtual Conference on

services in several African countries, both Anglophone and Francophone.. He has

PAUL KAREKEZI – DIRECTOR
Paul Karekezi has a Masters in Financial Management and is also an Engineer. He has over 30 years experience in Engineering, preparation of feasibility studies, design and supervision of onstruction in he region. He has been Project Director and Contract Expert for numerous projects initiated by such clients as the Ministry of Roads and Public Works in Kenya, Ministry of Economic Planning and Development in Rwanda, the Ministry of Works in Lesotho, Ministry of Communications and Works in Tanzania and the Ministry of Transport, Housing and Works in Uganda. He has extensive experience in donor funded projects, including World Bank, IDA, EU and AfDB and is conversant with the FIDIC conditions of contract, World Bank and SIDA procedures. He has undertaken a number of courses in Contract Administration and Arbitration and has conducted arbitrations and judications.He has attended courses in Private Financing of Infrastructure (including various financing mechanisms)and management of privatised public enterprises. CEPHAS OSORO - PARTNER & HEAD OF ASSURANCE
Osoro is a Partner and Head of Assurance. He has over 21 years post qualification experience having worked at Total Oil products, Keah and Co. before founding Osoro & Co. where he was managing partner for 14years. He was the top student in 1987 in the country in one of the accounting examinations. He has been honored as a business counselor of the year by Kenya Management Assistance Program. Osoro has been a member of the Practitioners Development Committee at ICPAK and contributed to the first practitioners audit manual developed by ICPAK. He has extensive experience in audit, tax, company secretarial and has experience in local authorities, SME’s, public utility companies, not for profit, rental, agriculture, construction, forex bureaux, information & communication, insurance, mining, hotels, hospitals, education, pension funds, political parties, shipping and retail. Osoro has been a member of the finance committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry following nomination from ICPAK. Osoro is a keen Rotarian and is the director in charge of global grants at the Rotary Club of Karen and chairs various community based organizations.
VICTOR MAJANI - PARTNER
Victor Majani is the Assurance Partner of Crowe Horwath EA. He has over 17 years professional experience in audit, consultancy, Partner Assurance accounting, taxation, company secretarial and management gained from working for various independent audit firms that include Mbaya Associates, KOKA Koimburi & Co and Osoro &Co. Victor is a qualified CPA (K)and holds an MBA from Washington International University USA. Victor worked for African Tours & Hotels Limited as the Chief Internal Auditor for seven years before moving into professional practice.He has experience in corporate recovery having worked as the debt-task-force team Leader for the PricewaterhouseCoopers ’Receiver Manager of Lonrho Motors EA Limited for five years. He has also served as a Liquidator of a medium size company and a Receiver manager for a horticulture venture.
JOSEPH MAGEMBE - DIRECTOR OF ASSURANCE
Joseph is a former Assurance Manager at Ernst &Young Kenya. He has over fourteen years of professional experience in Financial and Management Consulting. Joseph has several years of professional experience as an auditor in various industries. He has gained exposure in the Not-For-Profit sector having been engaged on assignments in a variety of non-government organizations and donor funded projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Zambia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Sudan among other countries.He has been involved as a Manager in the audits of various UN agencies including UNDP Kenya and Somalia offices, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)in Kenya and Somalia, and United Nations Children ’s Fund (UNICEF)in Kenya. He has also been involved in the capacity assessment of implementing partners funded by UNDP-Kenya and UNICEF-Kenya.
Melanie is the firm's Resident Director in the
newly established office in Djibouti. A citizen of French origin, and a lawyer
by profession, Melanie has an impressive background in the judicial and fiscal
environment in France, and brings to the firm a set of skills that will add
value to our clients in the Francophone regions of Africa.
