CPA Australia Careers 2017 with hundreds of internships and graduate opportunities

Sep 21, 2017

Following successful events in 2015 and 2016, CPA Australia Careers returns for 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Students and graduates will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one feedback on their personal resumes, discuss career goals with industry experts and meet with more than 30 established employers in various fields, including public practice, banking, finance, economics, pharmaceuticals and fast-moving-consumer-goods (FMCG).

CPA Australia Careers is being held in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday 30 September at the Reverie Saigon, and in Hanoi on Sunday 1 October at Pullman Hanoi.

A major focus of the expo will be the hundreds of graduate and internship opportunities available with the ‘Big Four’ and mid-tier accounting firms, banks and other multinational companies that participate in the expo.

Another highlight of these two free events will be career workshops to help students and graduates of CPA Australia’s university partners in Vietnam clarify their career objectives and maximise their employment prospects.

The Ho Chi Minh City event will cover career development issues such as standing out in recruitment rounds and how to succeed in job interviews. Visitors will also learn self-marketing techniques and how to tap into their professional network to land that first job.

Hanoi will feature a keynote panel discussion with representatives from Deloitte, VPBank and the Ministry of Finance on how accounting and finance graduates can successfully adapt to Vietnam’s new global integration context.

Attendees at both events can also sit for a professional photo to enhance their LinkedIn profile and win great prizes from CPA Australia’s partners.

“CPA Australia is committed to delivering the highest quality education program to support and improve the technical skills of local accounting and finance professionals,” said Ms. Tran Thien Huong, CPA Australia Vietnam Chief Representative.

“We have had a presence in Vietnam for nearly 10 years. We offer flexible study options such as distance learning, full-time study in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, and a combined post-graduate degree.”

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trong Co, FCPA, President of Academy of Finance, added: “This is a valuable opportunity for Academy of Finance students in particular, and accounting and finance students in general, to discover their potential and learn what it takes to make them stand out from the crowd.”

CPA Australia Careers is an international series of events held annually across 14 cities throughout the Asia Pacific.
