Private Clients

Our Private Clients team works in partnership with clients to be their trusted advisers. We preserve and maximise our clients’ wealth, liaising with our clients’ other advisers where appropriate.

The team combines specialist skills and wide-ranging experience, particularly in the areas of tax compliance and planning on a variety on tax issues that impact on individuals, families and trusts.

The quality of our compliance and advisory work is second to none. We have a higher than usual Partner-to-staff ratio, which means clients can have more contact time with a Partner if they so wish. We believe that this combination of expertise and personal commitment to clients is unique in our sector. More importantly, it results in enjoyable, highly effective relationships that stand the test of time. In fact, a number of our client relationships are now onto the second or third generation.

The Private Client team understands that absolute discretion is essential in this area of work. Private clients are always individuals and their financial interests may include family trusts, unincorporated businesses and charitable foundations. They can range from directors and stakeholders in companies and successful entrepreneurs who have exited their businesses, to clients with generational and inherited wealth. We also act for a significant number of clients who work in worlds of media, fashion, music and sports.

The majority of our clients are based in the UK, but a number either live or have significant interests elsewhere in the world. Many of our new client opportunities are introduced to us by: existing private clients, who appreciate and value what we do; third parties – such as lawyers, private bankers and investment managers; and other parts of Crowe Clark Whitehill.

We can assist with your personal financial matters in a number of areas:
