Grant Makers

Many charities make grants but some seem themselves specifically as grant makers. Grant makers come in many shapes and forms: some rely on investment income, others raise voluntary
Income also; some are exclusively grant-making while others are also operational.

Many grant makers that rely on investment income have difficulties in maintaining s income levels in light of the current economic climate.

Grant makers are grappling with how they manage and respond to grant applications so as to maximise the outcomes from funding provided. Another key challenge for grant makers is how to monitor and evaluate the impact of their grants.

In addition, to the broader services we provide to Not for Profits generally we assist grant makers with:

  • accounting for onward commitments
  • accounting for total return
  • designing selection and vetting procedures
  • carrying out review visits both pre and post award of the grant
  • defining measures to assess outputs, outcomes and impact
  • shaping investment policy.
