Manufacturing
At Crowe Clark Whitehill we provide advice and support to manufacturing and engineering businesses, with many of our partners and staff hailing from manufacturing and engineering family backgrounds fostering understanding and empathy with the challenges that the sector faces.
In addition to the traditional audit, tax and accounting services normally associated with professional services firms, Crowe Clark Whitehill has developed a number of specialist advisory services that has enabled clients to maximise their profitability, minimise costs and drive strategies for growth, finance raising and where appropriate, succession or sale. Critically, our manufacturing group has helped many companies to diversify from reliance on one OEM customer or a particular industry sector and we know that this has helped the survival and growth of many clients, particularly in the wake of the collapse of Rover Group.
Our manufacturing group has been successful in advising many companies through an acquisition process as part of their growth strategies and has steered several through the process of attracting institutional investment and even, in some cases, a market listing.
Crowe Clark Whitehill has helped numerous businesses through hard times and plotted strategies with them for recovery and growth, and we are proud to have played a part in the success stories of many such companies.
We were instrumental in lobbying Advantage West Midlands, (the former RDA), in the set-up of the Advantage Bridge Fund which helped countless Midlands based Aerospace and Automotive manufacturers trade through the difficulties of the last recession.
Through our extensive Crowe Horwath International network, we can assist companies in establishing links with and creating branches overseas, whether they are selling units or manufacturing bases, in Europe, Asia or the Americas and through this Global outlook we
foster links with UKTI via the Chambers of Commerce, our manufacturing group also
assists clients entering vibrant export markets in the high growth
emerging economies that have a strong demand for high quality British
goods that they cannot produce themselves.
Our tax team is skilled in the maximisation of capital allowances on machinery plant and fixtures and we have a track record of success in making cost effective yet realistic Research and Development Claims, without creating undue risk to our clients.
Crowe Clark Whitehill regularly work with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) in advising clients and are active lobbyists on the sectors behalf with Local Economic Partnerships, (LEPs), Regional Development Authorities (RDAs), Chambers of Commerce, Local and Central Government.
Crowe Clark Whitehill will continue to support clients in promoting themselves effectively in their key markets and where this might involve exhibition or trade mission activity we will continue to do so, addressing the dynamic needs of the sector by working with and regularly communicating with manufacturers.
